The holidays are now behind us, and we’re in a new decade: the Roaring ‘20s. Post-holiday season, there is always a fresh crop of newly engaged couples around the world — for example, a close friend of mine said yes on Thanksgiving Eve to her boyfriend of seven years. Newly engaged couples may wed a year or two after the proposal, most likely during “wedding season,” which starts in late spring ending until early fall.

Showing Appreciation for Your Wedding Party
Buying gifts for bridesmaids and groomsmen tends to be an afterthought, left to the last minute after the most important details have been ironed out. Having been a bridesmaid several times, I have a pretty informed idea of what a thoughtful gift looks like; it usually involves a personal touch, whether it’s a silk robe or hanger with your name.

I had the fun task of reviewing gift ideas from Groovy Groomsmen Gifts and Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique and selecting a top three for the bridesmaids and groomsmen of your wedding party. Check out Mochi’s wedding party picks below:

Gifts for Bridesmaids

Marble Masterpiece ($20.99)
Who doesn’t like a pretty mug with their name written on it? I guarantee this will be a hit for the caffeine lovers, especially during the bachelorette weekend.

A Pearl’s Delight ($24.99)
A dainty feminine necklace the whole bridal party will adore. Your bridesmaids will appreciate the different length choices for the necklace chain and the personal touch of the initial!

Jet Set Weekender ($49.99)
I absolutely love this gift for bridesmaids to use during the bachelorette weekend or for destination wedding guests. Throw in some knickknacks, like a hangover kit (sunglasses and Advil) or beach towel, and you’re all set.

Gifts for Groomsmen

Pigskin for Him ($34.99)
This personalized football is my top pick for a special bromance that shares a love for the sport. Contrasting the white and brown leather makes it a decorative piece, but at the end of the day, it’s still a football, so it will be thrown around!

To the 9’s Tri Pack ($39.99)
A great gift to give when asking your bros to be your groomsmen, and something they can all wear on your big day. Money clip, tie bar and cufflinks enclosed in a personalized, wooden box.

The Cosmopolitan ($39.99)
A great gift that will just get better over time! This personalized leather card wallet is something your city friends will appreciate. They’ll happily take out their metrocard or ID with ease.

Beyond the Wedding Party (and the Wedding!)
I encourage you to think beyond gifts just for the wedding party. Keep those destination wedding guests in mind! For the special guests making the trek, you can gift them a personalized toiletry bag, a weekender or a beach towel.

My husband and I plan on having a destination wedding celebration, ourselves, perhaps on our 20th wedding anniversary. We want to have our son as the best man and our daughter as the maid of honor standing with us as we renew our vows. My husband and I would gift our son the football, and our daughter the pearl necklace. My kids are still in their single-digits, so it goes to show there’s a plethora of options for you to choose from that can fit any budget.
