We’ve just gotten news that 20-year-old supermodel Daul Kim has been found dead in Paris. The Cut hears that she may have committed suicide. Our condolences to the family for their loss. [via The Cut]
Update: Her agency Next released the following statement confirming the news: “She was a top model and a great friend to all of us at Next. Please respect her family’s privacy at this time of sadness. We will all miss her very much.” Daul had just posted a video on her blog yesterday.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Daul began modeling in 2006, and quickly rose to a top model status, as she walked in many major fashion shows, including Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. Anan magazine named her model of the year in 2008, and she’s appeared on the covers of Korean Vogue and Korean Harper’s Bazaar. Just recently, she modeled for Christopher Kane for the Topshop TV commercial.
